Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress and model who works in Hindi films. She is the winner of the 2006 Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant. She was born on 11 August 1985 in Manama, Bahrain. She is the daughter of Sri Lankan father Elroy Fernansez and Malaysian mother Kim Fernandez. Her father was a musician in Sri Lanka and her mother who was an air hostess. She is the youngest of four children with one elder sister and two elder brothers. After completing her school life in Bahrain, she pursued a degree in mass communication from the University of Sydney in Australia. She also enrolled in the Berlitz School of Languages.Jacqueline Fernandez started her career as a television reporter in Sri Lanka. She was crowned the winner of the 2006 Miss Universe Sri Lanka and also competed in Miss Universe 2006 held in Los Angeles. Then she appeared in a music video for the song ‘O Sathi’. She came to India for a modeling assignment in 2009. She made her acting debut in the film industry with the fantasy film Aladin (2009), directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The next year, she acted in the science fiction romantic comedy film Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai opposite Deshmukh. Then she acted some commercial successful film such as Murder 2 (2011), Housefull 2 (2012), Race 2 (2012), Kick (2014), Dishoom (2016) and many more.
