Taapsee Pannu is an Indian actress and model who predominately works in the South Indian films and Bollywood. She was born on 1 August 1987 in New Delhi, India to Dilmohan Singh Pannu and Nirmaljeet pannu. She has a sister named Shagun Pannu. She studied at the Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. Then she enrolled at Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology in New Delhi for graduation in Computer Science Engineering.Taapsee Pannu started her career as a software engineer. Then she started modeling for several brands, including Coca-Cola, Motorola, PVR Cinemas, Dabur and Airtel. During her modelling career, she won the ‘Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face’ and ‘Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin’ in 2008. She made her acting debut in 2010 with the romantic musical film Jhummandi Naadam, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The next year she acted in the movie Aadukalam which marked her debut in Tamil cinema. The film was critically acclaimed and proceeded to win six National Film Awards at the 58th National Film Awards ceremony. She made her Bollywood debut in 2013 with the film Chashme Baddoor, for which she nominated for Filmfare Award Best Female Debut.
