Escape from Pretoria Full Movie Watch Online free HD streaming and Download HD Film free instant on your PC, TV, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch Based on a book by one of the escapees, Jenkin, called Inside Out: Escape from Pretoria Prison, the film tells the true-life story of political prisoners Jenkin (played by Radcliffe) and Stephen Lee (played by Webber), two white South Africans who, along with other prisoners, hatched a plot to break out of Pretoria Central Prison in 1979 after being imprisoned on charges of “producing and distributing 18 different pamphlets on behalf of banned organisations” (including the ANC) during the apartheid era in South Africa.
Some of the other political prisoners, including Denis Goldberg, helped to create and refine the details of the planned escape
Escape from Pretoria 2020 – Movie Review:
Well as the title of my review says, this was a very enjoyable prison movie. I’m not a Daniel Radcliffe fan, I cannot stand ” Harry Potter “, however I really enjoyed his performance in this movie. Very tense at times, the 100 minutes or so run time of this movie passed quickly and my wife and I were very entertained. Reviews of this movie complaining of being an Australian movie are unjustified. This is very much a South African story that just happened to be filmed in Australia. It’s a PRISON movie, it could have been filmed on the moon, who cares where it was filmed?. Daniel Webber was also a great co star and I think he is improving in each performance he gives. Heartily recommended.
